Club nights at Hunters resume this Thursday 6th Jan 8pm at Harris Sports Centre. No matches this week, so four courts await those wanting to burn off that Christmas excess. Our club and match schedule are always kept up-to-date on the club website.

The club Christmas social will be at Casa Loco on Friday 17th December. We have a table booked for 12 (that’s the largest we could get), so please book early to avoid disappointment as this is strictly first come first served. Vish is organising so speak to him or contact Simon using via the contact us form. £10 deposit secures.

We are looking for players within Hunters BC interested in playing in a friendly match against some ‘improving’ players being coached at David Lloyd in Coventry. Their coach has asked us for a team of similar level players who could give them a competitive yet friendly match.

Initial thoughts are a team of 2 men and 2 ladies. The match would consist of mens, ladies, and mixed doubles.

Steve will be canvassing for interested players on Thursday evening. Please speak to him for more information.

The school has an event and has cancelled our courts this week. Normal service resumes 23rd September. We’ve moved the social night to Thursday, so if you fancy a curry contact any of the committee using the Contact Us page.

Pete Martin will be bringing his racket stall to club night tonight (2nd Sep). If you’re thinking about a new racket, you can try them out with no commitment.

We are looking to field teams in the Rugby and District League when the league starts up again in late September. Teams willl be across the divisions, so if some competetive games there’s a chance for everyone to play. A sign-up sheet will be available at club night, or contact Simon (Match Secretary) using the Contact Us page. There is also the opportunity for friendly matches with other local teams before the league starts.

Members are invited to our first social event in quite a while! We plan to go to Hill Murry Indian in Rugby for an evening meal on Wednesday 15th September. Please let Barbara know if you would like to come along, or you can email me matchsec@huntersbadminton.co.uk.

Hunters club nights are every Thursday 8pm to 10pm. There’s no longer any need to book on the website, just turn up and play! Electronic payment is still preferred (£5 per session).

Hunters Badminton Club are pleased to announce that Thursday club nights will resume from 20^th May at Harris Sports Centre.

For those that attended in September and October, we will be operating the same procedure as before:

• Attendees must book each session up to 24 hours in advance using the booking form on the website for each session.
• Payment is pay-per-play and to confirm your place, payment should be made when booking. Bank details are provided on your booking email.
• You will be advised your court and start time on Wednesday evening.
• Players must “bubble” on a single court and cannot move or switch courts once allocated.
• Masks must be worn when off court and the Covid procedures should be followed.

Booking for 20^th May is open. We are expecting strong demand so please book early as places are limited to 18 and allocated first-come-first served.
