Hunters 2^nd team (Coventry League) hosted Aerotech Labs 3 this week. Simon Piercy captained as David Pugh couldn’t make it, and Phil Lindley was brought into the team as Antonio wasn’t available.

Phil paired with Lee Rickard as first pair, and took a good victory 21-18, 21-18 against a strong first pair. Simon paired with Neil Porter with a more straightforward 21-6, 21-15 win in the second.

With Aerotech’s final player running late, matches were shuffled around to accommodate. Next up Hunters third pair, Mark Loraine and Callum Gallagher took on Aerotech’s second pair, and despite dropping the first game, won the decider 21-18. With three games won already, Aerotech’s latecomers got underway, but couldn’t make inroads and Hunters won the fourth; Simon and Neil stepped up to secure the fifth and the match.

With the match won already, Hunters pressed the advantage and only dropped one rubber to give a convincing 8-1 victory.
